Someone Else Is Happy With Less

someone else is happy with less than what you have #MondayMotivation

How many times have you said, “If I could just afford [insert pricey wanted item here], I’d be so happy!”?  Have you been envious of others who look happy and happen to have a lot of stuff?  It’s time to stop focusing on quantity and work on quality.

Just know that…

Take the time to find the good that already exists in your life and build your happy from there.  Spend more time with that friend that makes you lose track of time.  Count your blessings daily and express your thanks.  Take a day off to take care of yourself, even if it’s just a day of Netflix.

Less is more.

  1. Ah! this reminds me of one of my favourite quotes that I posted a couple of weeks ago. ‘Someone somewhere is praying for what you have!’It is something that we all need to be more mindful of. A lovely quote, thank you for sharing xx

    1. I just read another similar one today: someone else wishes they had your bad day. All great words to apply to life

  2. I was always tough that we are not to want to what others have.
It’s hard to do when there are so many out there with so much and never had to worry about where their next house payment is going to come from or how they were going to pay the bills.
I have worked for my self now over 35 years. It hasn’t been easy and still isn’t. The one thing I do know is I have a lot of friends. They are my real treasure here on this earth, and I know that first hand
    from the caring we share.
We can never have to many friends in our life. I live one day at a time. For today will take care of today and tomorrow will take care of tomorrow.
I feel Blessed when I see someone who has less than I and there are many in the world. We live like KINGS compared to so many. I learn this on a mission I went to in Romania some years ago.
I am Blessed just to drink water out of the faucet.
I have seen Great Joy from many who have less than I.
I only want to be able to do the same.

    1. That was beautiful Greg and a great life to aspire to. Always be grateful. I read another good one today that said, someone else would rather have your bad day. (or something close to that).

  3. I love this post, Sarah. It’s such a great reminder to always be thankful for what you already have. In the midst of life little chaos and all things busy, it’s easy to lose track of the wonderful things already around us, let alone be thankful for them. Beautiful words! Thank you for sharing them :)

  4. Beautiful reminder to feel gratitude for the amazing life that we are privileged to lead. It’s too easy to be aspiring to the next ‘best thing’ but many of the best things in life are free1 Stopping by from #candidcuddles

  5. I really digging the theme this week! Although it wasn’t arranged or planned everyone is expressing such gratitude for what they have, for the things you can’t buy. I love this! When you are grateful for what you have, you will be given more to be grateful for! Let’s see how grateful you can be!

    1. Thank you Nikki =) I think we have it in us to be truly grateful, we just need a reminder every now and then.

  6. Yes indeed Sarah. I love this quote & it is absolutely true. This is a wonderful outlook to have on life. Wanting things never ends & you won’t find happiness from having that something you want. Being grateful for what you have is key. Thanks so much for sharing with #candidcuddles x
