Keep it simple.  Keep it honest.  Keep it you.

There is no one else you should be.  You should be you.  Not some enhanced, exaggerated version of you, but the most simple, pure you possible.  Raw, unfiltered and not watered down.

Ok, maybe have a little bit of a filter… only when the situation calls for it ;)

If you’re having trouble finding the simple, honest you think about times when you are your happiest.  What are you doing in those moments?  What are you wearing?  Who are you with?

Try to keep those thoughts and moments with you; reminders of a you at peace.  Perhaps you journal those experiences and carry them with you or have a memento from those times.

If all else fails, just stay in those happy, pure moments.  I mean heck, I’d love to be home, crafting in my jammies sitting next to my boyfriend all day ;)

I try each week to find an image (I LOVE unsplash!) that coincides with the quote or compliments it.  So why the sleeping red panda Sarah?  Cause I’m adorable and can fall asleep anywhere =)

  3. Ah this is great, over the last year I have taken to living more simply and without always bending and shaping to try to please others, it is a much nicer way to live! As for being like a red panda, if I could sleep anywhere, I would celebrate that too xx

    1. The old me, simple honest me, is coming back. Slowly but surely. And simple is a great way to live. And I CAN sleep just about anywhere =)

  5. A little filtering doesn’t mean you have to filter out the simple honest you :o) Sometimes it just means improving your vocabulary :o) Or at least that’s what I tell myself when I need to filter my overly honest and very blunt approach to life =D
