We all have those stores that we should probably steer clear of, especially if money is burning a hole in your pocket.  I am no different, and I have a handful of them…

Target

C’mon.  Who can leave Target without spending a fortune?  I know I can’t.  Heck, I spent nearly $50 in the Dollar Spot alone the other day.

Michael’s & Hobby Lobby

Ok, pretty much any craft store.  Michael’s $1 section kills me and Hobby Lobby is the source of most of my impulse buys.  Hence the hexagon punches in the picture.  Gotta make use of them…

Office Supply Stores

I love paper and pencils and binders.  I could probably support the school supply needs for a few children with all that I have. And don’t even get me started on Post Its.

ANY Drugstore

Especially the makeup department.  I buy eyeshadow and nail polish.  AND I hardly use it.

So you have the will power to not go in stores.  Good for you!  How do you handle online temptation?  If I still have money begging to be spent, no store is safe!  Brick and mortar or virtual!  My latest online temptresses have been Foxy Dori and Baum-kuchen.  Feeding my traveler’s notebook obsession…

  1. This would be the case for me too IF I lived in a town that actually had these stores. Target, Michaels and HL are all more than 75-100 miles away.

    1. oh no! I am so sad for you! I don’t know what I’d do. Heck, I go walk around them when I’m bored.
